Tomato is a proud wholesale customer of Mother Tongue Coffee. Mother Tongue Coffee is a woman/Latinx owned company roasting coffee in Oakland, CA. Jen Apodaca is the owner of Mother Tongue and is the 2019 US Cup Tasters Champion and 2022 US Roasting Champion 2nd place winner. With an extensive career in coffee roasting, Jen is a long-time coffee idol of Julien’s and Tomato is honored to use their coffee.
In 2022, Julien Langevin and Umeshiso collaborated on a cupping spoon for Julien to use at the World competition in Milan. Thus, the Trans Little Dipper was born. While you can no longer get a Trans Little Dipper spoon, there are currently Tomato Coffee Class fidget spinners available on Umeshiso’s site.
